Rebecca became a full-time Personal Trainer and found success competing in figure competitions. Despite her strength, she woke up with lower back pain each day. She took her first Pilates mat class at a wellness retreat in Mexico. She found Pilates could ease tension and release her pain in one session. The focus on the pelvis and core connection throughout Pilates was the missing piece from her workouts.
Rebecca continued taking Pilates sessions from different schools of thought until she found two teachers, husband, and wife, that she loved in Arizona. These teachers became her mentors and ultimately inspired her to become a Pilates teacher herself in 2005. Her love for Pilates and the method grew into wanting to share it with others, and she embarked on a year of intense training to become a Teacher of Teachers for Power Pilates in 2012. She grew the community of teachers in the Scottsdale, Phoenix area, and the company promoted her to Regional Director in 2017.
Pilates became her passion, and after teaching fitness for 17 years, she added a Feet-ness certification in 2020. She noticed many clients had foot conditions and needed help to do the footwork in the method correctly. After trying a class, she learned about Feet-ness and discovered how this could elevate her and her client's practice by addressing foot and toe imbalances in a user-friendly way. Try this foot exercise to see how amazing your feet can feel in three minutes or less.
Rebecca decided to go Plant-based in 2011 after watching the documentary "Forks Over Knives." She considers a whole-food, plant-based diet the secret ingredient to vitality and slowing aging. She read many books about eating this way, including "The China Study," which led to her education and certification with eCornell in Plant-Based Nutrition.
Along with personalized Pilates programs to help you achieve your best body, she is armed with the most up-to-date nutrition and lifestyle medicine research to help you reach your maximum potential.
